081 – Theatrical Shenanigans, Operatic Renditions and WAGatha Christie

Bob is back! And he’s been so busy that Adam has to bring him up to speed on the WAGatha Christie saga. Adam has brought along the brand new Italian edition of Her Last Tomorrow, which Bob attempts to read from and ends up singing Nessun Dorma. Well, he does have Italian blood.

They also discuss Barnes and Noble’s list of the best thrillers of October, Val McDermid’s appointment as Visiting Professor at the University of Otago, the documentary Sherlock Holmes Against Conan Doyle and BBC’s upcoming The Dublin Murders.

080 – Dodgy Pronunciations, Policy Discussions and the Podcast Saviour

Bob is treading the boards for his evening job this week, so Adrian ‘The Saviour’ Hobart steps in again to join Adam. After lamenting the lack of an adoring audience following last weeks live episode, they get deep into police recruitment policy and Irish border issues. There’s a crime fiction angle on all of it, honest. It’s nothing like a cabinet meeting. Would Moriarty lie to you?

079 – LIVE EPISODE: Tragic fireball horror death smash

After a wobbly start where the wrong theme tune is played Adam and Adrian Hobart (standing in for Bob) play a bizarre game of Exquisite Corpse with the audience (look for the transcript on Facebook) Adrian gives us the lowdown on recording audio books – he has just been narrating Dead & Buried – which gives Adam an opening to do some shameless plugging.

**This episode was recorded live at Morecambe & Vice Crime Festival in front of a live audience. Please excuse any sound glitches.**
